Nia Classes
Done barefoot to diverse and inspiring music, Nia is a transformative movement practice that teaches you to be more JOYFUL, EXPRESSIVE, and ALIVE in your body, both inside and outside of the studio. Nia is holistic, engaging your body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Nia draws from dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts to create purposeful movement that will help you grow and learn.
Nia increases the pleasure of living in your body; Nia creates weight loss and proper weight maintenance; Nia strengthens uscles, improves muscle tone, and increases muscle definition; Nia increases grace, flexibility, and endurance; Nia builds resevoirs of chi and improves cognitive functioning. Elli Sparks does lots of thing for fun and pleasure!!! Right now she teaches Nia and Pleasure Revival. Elli has studied extensively with Regena Thomashauser at Mama Gena's School of Womanly Arts and earned her Nia White Belt certificate.
As a young adult, Elli worked on small organic farms in Maine and then earned her B.F.A. at Virginia Commonwealth University. After that she served the community for 12 years by raising funds and expanding programs for several grass-roots non-profit organizations. Elli is an artist and a home-schooling mother.
She has a sincere passion to help women in her community discover their divine center too!
